I painted this rooster with the kind of confidence only a rooster can have. He’s standing tall, chest out, feathers on display, looking like he fully expects everyone to notice him.
Strut seemed like the only possible name.
I filled his feathers with stripes, dots, grids, and little geometric patterns in deep teal, turquoise, purple, and green, then gave him that bright orange eye and wonderfully serious expression. The result is colorful, quirky, and just a little bit ridiculous—in the best possible way.
This greeting card is blank inside, so you can make it whatever you need it to be: a birthday card, thank-you card, thinking-of-you note, or simply an excuse to send someone actual mail. It’s especially fun for chicken lovers, backyard flock people, or anyone who appreciates an animal with a little attitude.
Card type: Folded 5x7 greeting card
Front design: Original artwork on the front
Inside card: Both left and right sides are blank for your message
Back design: Blank and writable with Wild Thorn Collective copyright and branding in small print at the bottom
Paper stock: Printed on premium fine art cardstock (smooth, linen, or lightly textured), chosen to best complement the artwork
Envelope: Includes a white envelope
Packaging: Packaged in a protective sleeve
Tested with ballpoint pens, gel pens, Sharpies, and felt-tip pens. All performed well; however, because ink and pressure vary by pen, a brief drying time is recommended.
This card also works as a mini art print. Frame it in a 5×7 frame or mat it into an 8×10 frame for a colorful, space-friendly display.
