I painted this giant. He fills the frame because his presence demands it, but his dark, soulful eyes tell a completely quiet story. I wanted to capture that massive, calm energy you only feel around an elephant, so I layered deep midnight navy with bright splashes of purple and orange right onto his weathered skin. Look closely at the forehead and trunk. You can see the stippled texture and fine, crackled lines I drew to mimic actual elephant hide.
I set him against a stylized savanna landscape under a bright blue sky to let those rich, saturated tones pop. He looks right at you. It is a direct, peaceful connection that grounds a room instantly. I print every piece in my studio to make sure those deep blues and textured details look exactly like the original digital painting on my iPad.
