Gift subscriptions are priced to be all-inclusive. They cover everything your recipient needs — including applicable sales tax — so they can redeem their gift without ever being asked to pay anything out of pocket. This keeps the experience simple and seamless for the recipient, while regular subscriptions are billed monthly and assessed tax at checkout.
How are international gift vouchers priced and how are taxes handled?
International gift vouchers are priced the same as regular international subscriptions ($12/month or $144/year). This reflects higher international postage costs and customs handling. Any applicable taxes or fees are determined at redemption based on the recipient’s location.
Will my international recipient have to pay VAT, GST, or import duties?
Usually not. Prints are shipped as standard letter mail, which almost always arrives without extra fees. Occasionally, a country’s postal service may charge VAT, GST, or import duties, and if that happens, the recipient would pay those directly to their local post office.
When does the subscription start?
Your recipient’s subscription begins once they redeem their voucher.
Do gift vouchers expire?
Yes — vouchers must be redeemed within 15 months of purchase. This ensures fair pricing and sustainability for an independent artist.
What if my recipient doesn’t redeem right away?
That’s totally fine, as long as they redeem within 15 months of the purchase! The actual subscription doesn’t begin until they redeem the voucher, so your gift will still feel new whenever they decide to start.
Does the recipient need to cancel?
No. Gift voucher subscriptions end automatically when the prepaid term is complete — no cancellations or surprise renewals.
Will my recipient have to pay anything?
U.S. recipients: No. Everything is covered in your one-time purchase.
International recipients: Almost never — unless a country’s postal service chooses to charge VAT, GST, or import duties (rare for our shipments).
